Take a leap of faith and just jump in

As a designer, taking a leap of faith involves venturing into the unknown, embracing risks, and trusting in your own creative vision. It means pushing boundaries and exploring new ideas. It requires perseverance, courage and a willingness to fail in pursuit of your dreams. Phew that was alot of big words!

My journey so far has certainly meant stepping outside of my comfort zone and launching myself into the unknown. Just putting myself in front of a camera is foreign territory. My mother would be the first to tell you, I hated having photos taken as a kid. I was always the one hiding behind everyone in a group shot. “Sharron, we can’t see you!” my mother would cry! Oh dear what a shame, never mind!

And here I am now having just bought myself an LED ring light with tripod so I can take not only photos, but videos of me working. Who would have believed it, certainly not my mother! The tripod set up is perfect for mounting the phone inside and providing enough good light to take studio quality photos of products and fabrics. It’s compact and doesn’t take up much room on my desk. It wasn’t expensive and I just picked it up from a local furniture and appliance store. Highly recommend if you are wanting to take high quality images for your website, instagram posts or any other social media platform. And make sure you get the one with the bluetooth remote so you can take videos of yourself at work. Have fun!

Time to stop hiding in the shadows and together we will make our way to the front of the crowds!
